– Pellet

Τα pellet (agglomerates) a fuel consisting of wood, free from any moisture, compressed into small cylinders without any added adhesive. The calorific efficiency of pellet amounts to 4200 kcal/kg.

The pellet is small diameter cylinders 60-80 mm. with approximately 100 mm. and color depending on the raw material used for their production.

The pellets are solid fuel produced by mechanical processing of biomass. In a nutshell, without any addition of chemicals, utilized herbal materials when burnt release substantially as carbon dioxide have absorbed during their life so they do not pollute the environment.

Due to the cylindrical form, the glossy surface and the small, the pellet behave as a liquid, facilitating the transfer and automatic feeding of the boiler or pellet stove.

The power of the installation can be done either by packing bags 15 kg or large packages 500-1000 kg. The high energy density and ease of use make this vegetable and environmentally safe fuel, appropriate for use in any size automatically heating systems.

A plant pellets combustion system for central heating, consists of the following parts:

• Pellet Boiler and burner

• Store fuel

• Feed system

• Main regulatory mechanism

• If required, system for hot water heating
